Ok, next issue.
I want my printer configured in such a way.
If no paper is present in tray 1, default to tray 2. (without prompting me EVERY time and requiring me to press the okay button every time I want to print from my desired paper tray, tray 2)
Devices and Printers -> Printing Preferences -> Paper Source is set to Tray 2 currently.
Regardless of this configuration in the printer settings, I am still required to press the OK button on the printer EVERY time I want to print to Tray 2.

That's exactly how I have the printer configured.
Now "tray 1" is actually a manual feed and not an actual tray. Ttray 2 is actually a tray that stores a whole ream of paper. It makes no sense to me that when configured to "automatically select" it selects the "tray" that has no paper and requires input from the user to use the tray that actually has paper.
