Hello,
Kindly perform the below steps and let me know if it worked.
1) Power off the printer
2) turn off the wireless router.
3) wait for 40 seconds and turn on the printer only
4) follow the below steps.
In order to disable IPv6 on the Printer, use a web browser to navigate to the IP Address of the Printer. Once there, click on the networking tab, choose Networking Settings. There you will see a checkbox that says "IPv6". Uncheck that box and click apply.
5) Now power on the wireless router .
It should work.

I am having the same issue after a prompted update last week, I think it was on the 9th. I have checked that there are no print jobs waiting, tried to unplug and plug back in, removed my printer from my laptop, but now because it keeps rebooting, I cannot reconnect it in time before it reboots again! How can I attempt to fix it if I cannot connect it wirelessly? What is the fix for this please?? I need my printer for my work. I also had one non HP cartridge in and everything was working fine for several months until this update. Besides the 79 error message, I was also getting a message that my black cartridge was having a supply issue. I replaced it with the old HP black cartridge and that error went away, but the other one remains with the constant rebooting, ugh! Thank you.

Hello,
I'd recommend you to try the below steps.
- Power Off the Printer.
- Unplug the LAN cable from back of the printer.
- Wait for 30 seconds and then Power On the printer.
- Once the printer is ready, we need to disable the IPv6 on the printer. On the printer front panel go to Setup Menu > Network Setup > Network Services > IPv6 > Off
- Now go ahead and connect the LAN cable. Try printing.
Let me know if the above steps worked.

I have been plagued by these errors off and on for over a year, through several generations of Apple Mac OS. My printer is connected wirelessly to my 16" MacBook Pro running Big Sur Version 11.1 and it also communicates with an HP desktop running Windows 10. Without warning, the next document I try to print o the Mac causes the printer to generate a 79 service error and then the printer shuts off and reinitializes. The job never prints and is stuck in the Mac print queue. While this is happening, I can still print from my windows 10 machine so it does not seem to be a printer problem. I have tried deleting and adding the printer driver on the Mac, resetting the printing system and restarting the whole machine. Sometimes this works but seldom on the first try. After repeated deletions of the printer driver on the Mac and restarts, the problem goes away as mysteriously as it arrived. The last time it happened, I spent nearly 2 hours troubleshooting, trying to print a simple email message. Finally after a reboot, the same message printed normally.
