Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hi all, I'm using a MacBook Pro with my printer. I have the M428 HP printer.  I never created a password for the printer, not sure why it's asking for one. It is connected to my Wi-Fi. I have tried restarting it, per hp website direction.
