Has anyone noticed any further issues from the use of this fix? I have tested duplex printing on all of the paper types I could think of on an affected printer. The duplexing on letterhead issue was resolved, but I admit I do not fully understand what exactly this command tells the printer to do, so I am hesitant to apply something to the entire fleet again without knowing exactly what I am applying. Based on what the printer is told by this change, what printing situations could potentially be affected?

We have been running solid with the solution mentioned here ever since we applied it to our fleet of 3015s.  No further issues have been reported from our users in those areas.

If you are uncertain about the consequences then try deploying to only the machines that report problems rather than to them all.  That way if there is an unknown consequence you still have some older firmware 3015s that you can swap out.

I was having the same problem with my P3015, too and was about to apply the solution presented here by sending the .prn file. When reading what the .prn file would disable, I remembered having seen that same option somewhere in the printer menu. After a bit of digging, I found the option, disabled it, and now a letterhead document is printed without duplexing.

Just go to the printer's menu and select Configure Device > System Setup > Tray Behavior and set Alternative Letterhead Mode to Off. This fixed it for me without having to send the .prn file.

That did it.  Nice job there.  Unbelievable that 'alternate letterhead mode' would be the default.  That fixed it for me.
