My husband pushed the internet button and I don't know what else but the printer which has worked beautifully for years would no longer connect to our home WIFI. I followed directions to turn it off, press both the WIFI button and the Cancel button and then turn it on - they flashed but the WIFI button did not do anything. When I push the WIFI button a blue light flashes but is never steady and it does not connect.
Then I removed the printer from my computer and then re-installed it but it still would not recognize the WiFi in our house. So that it is working with a cable connection but without the WiFi.
What I am thinking is that somehow it lost the password but I don't know how to put that in.
How can I restart the WiFi connection?

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you want to connect your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer to the Wi-Fi Network.
This issue could occur if the wireless setup is not correct
Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Wireless Printer Setup
To know the wireless password you may check the link: Find Your Wireless WEP, WPA, WPA2 Password (Mac)
Let me know how this works.
You have a good day ahead.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I had previously tried some of them before, but I went through everyone of them and none of them worked. When I tried the printer utility HTML config I received the note that Safari could not open that signt. All the other WPS, disconnecting the router, trying to download the printer did not work. It is an old printer and was bought from HP originally for a Windows computer. It continues to work when attached to a cable - so that is what we will do and probably print less.
Thank you though for offering helpful things to do.

You are welcome.
I understand that the printer works fine on cable but not wireless and you want to connect it via cable.
This model of the printer may not support wireless.
I also appreciate your time and patience.

The printer had been working beautifully on WiFi until my husband (who is not tech literate) began to touch the wireless button and I really don't know what else and shut it down from WiFi connection. I have tried all the avenues presented by HP and it will not reconnect. My husband thinks that we should just buy a new one, and probably that is the only answer. I have spent many hours trying to get it to reconnect and so far have been unsuccessful.
Thank you for your notes.

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that the issue started after wireless button was pressed on the unit.
You may follow the video link from Youtube to setup the printer on the wireless network : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiKwXkNCO7E
