Hello. 

I have a HP 1415fnw that needs to have the fax line number reset. Problem is that my predecessor set a password on the Printer and NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IT IS. 

 

Can you help me reset the password or factory reset the printer so I can have it properly setup?

Perform a Cold reset to wipe out the password and start over:

Called a "Hard Reset" in this forum posting:

to do a hard reset , touch the bottom right quadrant of touchscreen (black part under ? at bottom right) while powering up the printer. Continue to hold until you see a message like Perm Storage Init.

Select the perm storage init.. And let it restart the machine.
