I have an HP LaserJet Pro M452dn that won't print double sided.
I have the LaserJet Pro M452dn PCL-6 driver installed. Under Device Settings and Installable Options the Duplex unit is set to 'Installed' (This was automatic). On the General Tab of Printer Properties Double-sided is listed as 'Yes' under features.
On the web portal management tab, under Paper Setup Duplex is set to 'On'.
The only thing that I think could be wrong is on the web portal, under device configuration the duplex version is listed as 0.
Can I get some help troubleshooting this issue? It's my understanding that the M452dn model supports double sided printing.

Print commands can get overwritten from several different areas:
- The document
- The application hosting the document
- The machine settings and defaults
- The printer settings and defaults
Tracking down which area is the problem is a game of trial and error.
I suggest starting with something simple. Create a new text document in notepad.exe. Make it a 2 page document. Send the job to the printer using the Notepad print dialog box.
Now do the same thing, this time modify the default printer settings on your Printers and Scanners area.
Compare results between diffferent apps.
Let us know what you can find from there.

Thank you for your reply!
I had thought it might be an issue with the document so I created a plain text document in Word that would print double sided, but I had the same issue (the original is a Word doc as well). I won't have access to the printer again until Tuesday so I will try out a different program and see if that can print double sided and update this thread.
