Thank You! BradStefonek, I went back and checked the contact you described and found it was bent just right to miss contact. I straightened the contact and I can now show a ready state on the printer. The orignal problems remain, (tray 2 lifting and not moving, no motors spin at power on...) I updated the firmware again and tried the Tray/Bin manual test in diags again and find the PS107/PS907 is stuck in the on. I will remove and check it out and get back. Again BradStefonek Thanks for the tip!

I've replaced EVERYTHING in this thing that I could, another warehouse shipped us a M603 that they dropped down the stairs. Swapped motors, fans, fuser, boards.......and it now will print one page and then give unexpected paper size error and will not print page 2 or more. PS106 and PS103 now test bad. The broken printer is smashed in this area so its sensors are bad too. I can't find the sensors online. I now have a real good stock of spare parts for the next one. Thanks to everyone for the help.

HP photo sensors hardly ever fail and two in the same machine is highly unusual.

Have you spot the DC controller since the photo sensor issues starting?

I would also look really close at the wiring.

OK, I have tried 3 lift motors, 3 DC controllers, 3 formatters, 3 toners, 2 of every other motor, solenoid, fan, paper tray, paper pickup assy. I still get the unexpeted paper size error.
