HP M402n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had multipleM402n printers Display the "Supply Memory Error"

Troubleshooting Steps:

1) Replace the toner with known "Good" HP brand toner cartridge.

2) Replaced the Tag Cable Assembly (https://www.laserxperts.com/rm2-5426.html)

3) Replaced the DC Controller (https://www.laserxperts.com/rm2-7509.html)

4) Replaced Formatter Board C5F93-600010

Still getting the same error.  I have tried 3 different DC Controllers, and 3 different Formatter Boards.

What else am I missing?  My company has a ton of these M402n printers and I'm just trying to see if I can save from scrapping them and buying M404n's if possible.  This is probably the 5th of 6th of these printers with this error that I am trying to fix.  By the way, I was FINALLY able to figure out what was casing the Jam in Cartridge area.  There was a gray pulley in the front right of the printer that needs to be pushed towards the read of the printer if you have the front cover off the printer. Does anyone from HP read these?  Does anyone have any suggestions?  We just got another M402 with this error?  What is going on?  Why are so many M402n's having this issue? Cartridges that show the Supply Memory error work on other M402n's in the office.

The primary purpose of these forums is user to user support. While HP does have moderators on the boards, direct issues with HP should be directed to the normal Tech Support Channels. I would be curious as we have had a few internal units have issues but a new DC controller seems to resolve the issue.

Have you tried updating the firmware to the latest version?
