Perform a Cold Reset to clear the memory on the printer:

Thank you for your response John_Getzke.
Unfortunately this Cold Reset process does not work on my printer.
I hold my thumb on th lower right hand portion of the screen but the printer just starts as it always does. It never shows the 'permanent storage init' message.
The problem persists.

Try again. Those are the correct steps to perform a Cold Reset. I have shared that video with many others and had success.
Watch the video carefully. Its important to press your finger/thumb in the correct area at the right time during the boot sequence. As soon as you see the progress bar start to load then press the screen in the correct spot.
Also, make sure you have referanced the correct printer model. The Cold Reset process is different for just about every printer model. Many folks mistake the M277 with the M227. If you have a different model then we will need to get you the correct steps.
