My hp laser jet  p1505 printer does not print one page after another. It waits about 5 seconds before printing each succeeding page. So if I have a file of say 10 pages it takes a long time to print out. How can I make the printer to print one pager after another without waiting or as my computer tech says "is scrolling{ or queueing up

It sounds like there is a driver issue on your PC.  The driver is taking too long to process each print job page, resulting in slow physical printing.

First step is to try an uninstall and reinstall of the latest HP software for your OS.  This will clean up any temporary issues.

If that doesnt work then try switching to a different print driver.  I am a fan of migrating to HPs Universal Print Driver on the PostScript print language for slow printing scenarios.  After you migrate to the new print driver retest your documents and see if they print any faster.

My computer technician tried the 2 universal drivers. He first uninstalled what we had then one at a time installed the universal drivers as you recommended. Each time we received the error message that stated the universal drivers were not compatible. Again I have a HP   P1505 laserjet printer. It works well simply waits 5 seconds between each page that has to be printed when I have 2 or more pages to print.  I appreciate any help you may seem fit to give me. Thanking you in advance

You may have selected the incorrect UPD for your current OS.  I would try again and verify you are matching the UPD to the correct OS version in the downloads area.  Each UPD is made for a specific OS, you cannot cross them over.  Download the UPDs from the PC that needs to run them for the best chance of success. HPs auto detection of the OS is pretty accurate and can reduce the chance of error.

HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) supported printers

If you look at this list, P1505 is not listed

HP LaserJet P1505 Printer

There's no Universal Print Driver listed on the printer's support page.

Also, the driver listed is from May 24, 2013, and my guess is that HP never bothered to revise the driver for proper compatibility with Windows 10 or its future itereations.

Why do I have a feeling that your tech wants you to get a new printer?
