I have not been able to print at all. I loaded the tray with paper, the guides are correct but I keep getting a message "open tray, check paper guides and load paper" I've restarted, ran a system check. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi @KimD65

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Kindly refer to this document to know how to load papers in the input tray.

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Also, check if there are any jams in the printer

refer to the steps in this document.

If the error persists, we will have to reset the printer to its factory settings.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
