Paper Jam error on M203dw, removed jam and now it won't reset.

We had a paper jam on a M203dw printer in our office.  We removed the jam and now the status id "Paper Jam" on all of the computer and nobody can print to this printer.  Yet I can print the configuration report from the printer itself. 

 

Removed paper

replaced ink cartridge

blew out with air

We also have the same printer in another office that is saying "out of paper" that nobody can print to it except for one person.  It works fine for him.  I'm starting to get real frustrated with these printers.

After spending the time on the HP chat service, I was told;

 

12:23 PM  Sushil Sharma: Steven, you need install the HP genuine cartridge in that.
12:24 PM  Sushil Sharma: This is the main problem here.
12:24 PM  Sushil Sharma: The HP printer will not support any other cartridge.
12:24 PM  Steven Koenders: So what is the difference?
12:26 PM  Steven Koenders: especially on the printer that one person can print to but nobody else can
12:26 PM  Connecting...
12:26 PM  Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly.
12:26 PM  Connecting...
12:26 PM  Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly.

12:27 PM  Sushil Sharma: Steven, he HP printer hardware has an special chip set for reading the cartridge which only work with the HP printers and also the other cartridge might create the other serious problem so I recommend to use the HP genuine cartridge.

So, do I actually have printer problems or is this just HP's way of making you purchase there over priced cartridges?
