HP LaserJet 1100

I have an HP LaserJet 1100, Model # C4224A. When printing, a portion of the page is faded, and a dark smudge line is printed down the right side of the page. The size and shape of the affected areas remain the same from one print job to the next. I have included an image of a test page so you can see what I'm talking about. Could someone advise me on what steps I could take to correct this issue?

Thanks!

As an update, I cleaned inside the printer and replaced the toner, and that seems to have corrected the issue. Thanks again for your help.

I will try and give some information. This looks like the image transfer roller is not in place.Remove the toner and look inside the printer there is a spongy roller. This roller could be unhooked on one side not touching the drum properly.Hope this will help.

Thank you very much for your reply! It seems like the transfer roller is secured properly. I've attached a picture of the interior of the printer with the toner removed so you can see for yourself. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks!
