Hi @Orta1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your HP DeskJet 4255e is only printing test pages and not your documents, try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Ensure Correct Default Printer:

  • Go to 'Devices and Printers' on your computer.
  • Make sure that your HP DeskJet 4255e is set as the default printer.

Check Connection:

  • Verify that the printer is connected to your computer either via USB or the same Wi-Fi network.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Open 'Devices and Printers,' right-click on your printer and select 'See what's printing.'
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs that may be causing the issue.

Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Uninstall the current driver from 'Device Manager.'
  • Visit the HP Support Website to download and install the latest driver for your printer model.

Check Applications:

  • Try printing from a different application. Sometimes the issue might be application-specific.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date by visiting the HP support website for your model.

Take care and have an amazing day!
