When printing onto letterhead, I usually have to put the letterhead in upside down, but occasionally my letter will be upside down and then I have to switch the letterhead around. I have wasted so much letterhead because of this problem. Does anyone have a solution?

The printer does not know which side of your media has the letterhead image on it. If you are not sure what the printer is expecting then first send through a test piece of paper. Mark which side is the front side and which side is up, Print your document. Observe how the job was printed. Orrient your actual letterhead media to match the previous printout.
Your printer will always feed paper through the same way. It will always print on the same side of that page. If you have a duplexer installed then it will flip the page around and print on the back side after the first side. These are dependable expected results that do not change.
What your printer does not know is where the actual letterhead imagery is on your piece of letterhead paper. The user is required to feed the paper in correctly to match up the media with the print job. Once you find an orrientation that works then document it and leave a note on the printer for next time. This will help you remember how to feed the paper into your printer for the same results.
