With an HP CM3530 I keep receiving this same error, and often Immediately afterwards I get error 30.01.45  (6770 1669 Power off/on, check CPB)

Could this still be a rail needing grease, or something more?

Thanks

From the Service Manual:

30.01.45 Scanner failure The CPB memory is full. 1. Turn the product off and then on.

2. Check the SCB/CPB connections.

3. Check the SCB LEDs.

I'd be more concerned about the .45 error.  That one may require you to replace the SCB/CPB, but it might be a simple loose connection too.  The recommendation from DZ is to reseat and even replace the formatter. No bueno.
