After replacing a formatter board, is there a procedure to update the serial number locally?

Nope. The serial number should be written on a new formatter board automatically from the DC controller after a printer is turned ON.

Then you replace the Formatter First, power on the machine, wait 10 minutes, power off and replace the DC Controller.

Use the following procedure if you need to install a replacement formatter PCA and a replacement DCC, (DC
controller).

Turn off the printer

Install the replacement formatter PCA.

Turn the printer on, wait for the cartridge volume indicators to appear on the display.

NOTE: This allows information to be written to the replacement formatter PCA.

Turn the product off.

Install the replacement DCC.

Turn the product back on.
