Greetings @dimitrissparta,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are unable to print from your Laserjet P1005 through your computer which is running on Windows 10.
Not to worry, I will be glad to help.
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Have you tried using Windows built-in drivers?
Recommend you uninstall the printer from your computer using the method mentioned below. Once the printer is removed completely from the computer, install Windows built-in driver and check if you are able to print.
Full feature software for your printer is not available on HP Website. Hence, recommend you to try Windows built-in drivers.
Please click here for the procedure to install Windows built in drivers.
Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right click on the Windows button to access device manager)
Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
Click on print server properties.
You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.
Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
Restart the PC.
Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).
If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
Restart the PC again.
Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers and install it on the computer.
Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi!
First of all, thanks for your instant response. Although, i would like to inform you that i cannot follow your instructions. I tried to uninstall the printer, but it freezes! When i choose uninstall for the specific model of printer (P1005) it shows a pop up window that says
Deleting filesystems
The uninstall deletes the software
But the process bar is repeatedly filling again and again... So i cannot uninstall the printer.
Also, at control panel at devices and printers it shows the printer. I choose uninstall but the same....
I restarted the laptop and it is still there. Also, at device manager at printer queues there was, and i removed it, but i cannot finish the uninstall....
Someone else faced up the same problem, but there is no suggestions there...

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested steps. Please have the printer off and disconnected during that the uninstall process.
If the issue persists, create a new user account on the computer with Administrative privileges.
Login to the new account and try to uninstall the printer.
If you are still unable to uninstall, please download this uninstall tool from Microsoft and try to uninstall the printer. Click here.
Keep me posted.

Hi @dimitrissparta,
I reviewed the post completely. Stupendous troubleshooting and spectacular analysis of the issue to try and resolve it. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂
As @Chimney_83 is out of office for the day, I am jumping in to assist you here. Please try these steps.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
Then try to install the full feature software from this link: http://hp.com/drivers and follow the on-screen instructions.
If that does not work, then, please download CCleaner app and perform a clean uninstallation and delete all entries of the printer.
Then try to install the full feature software from the same link mentioned above.
If this still does not work, please try to install and use the windows Built-in drivers for printing issues.
You could install and use the HP scan and Capture app for scanning purposes if you want to scan.
Also, try to install the basic drivers from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-p1005-printer/3435674 and install the HP LaserJet P1000-P1500 Hostbased Plug and Play Basic Driver if nothing works. One of these will definitely do the trick for you.
Please perform these steps patiently to try and resolve the issue. If any step fixes the issue, you could ignore the rest of them.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a superb week ahead. 🙂

Hi @dimitrissparta,
I reviewed the case comprehensively again. I have gone through all your posts. You've done tremendous troubleshooting.
Please perform these steps:
Please try to make 2 copies directly from the printer to isolate the issue correctly.
If it copies correctly, please try to print with another device like a smartphone or Ipad.
If it prints correctly, please backup all your files and reinstall windows to factory settings.
Then reinstall the printer. This should do the trick for you.
Trust me I've done all I can to assist you by keeping your best interest in mind. You've been commendable and it has been an absolute privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
I genuinely hope the printer works great and stays healthy for a long time after this:)
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

You take care, stay healthy, keep smiling big and do have a blessed year ahead. 🙂
