Is it beneficial for me to upgrade to Readiris either business or corporate?  Why would I need it?  I have had my laserjet pro and never have had a message about scanning and upgrading to Iris.

If you do not need the IRIS software then uninstall it from your PC.

 

IRIS is free software offered from HP in the Full software solution.  It is not required for scanning or printing and can be safely ignored or uninstalled unless you want it.

Hi,

Your printer was shipped with a single IRIS OCR Pro 14 license, a such won't show any messages or upgrade offers as this is a licensed product:

Most likely you don't need any upgrade option, those will mostly offer more file compressions choices as described below:
