Hello and good day. I hope someone can help me.
Following problem:
New router, new Wi-Fi.
If the new W-Lan network is entered / selected in the printer: Service Error 78.
Afterwards the W-Lan network is no longer recognized. Printer is no longer from the initialization mode.
Printer must be reset to operating status.
Problem is the same with two identical printers.
New router: Speedport Smart 3, mesh technology, telecom
Printer: HP Laser Jet PRO 200 Color MFP M276
Can someone help me?
Many Thanks!

I'm seeing a similar problem after replacing my home router / WiFi Ap with a LinkSys Velop mesh system (3 nodes).
I set up the new network with the same SSID / PW as the previous router, and every device in our home was able to reconnect seamlessly, except for my HP LaserJet 200 MFP.
The LaserJet does connect, but it frequently appears offline to computers on the network. The HP Printer Status and Alerts utility reports that it cannot determine the printer's status. I've run a Wireless Network Test Report on the printer itself, and there are a couple of clues that appear in the Diagnostics Summary and Troubleshooting sections:
- Other Networks Detected Matching Your Network Name (SSID) = Yes
- Disconnect Count (Last 24 Hours) = 24
With the LinkSys app I can determine which of the Velop mesh nodes each device is connected to, and I have seen that the printer has changed its connection point. This happens to other devices (e.g. mobile phones) as they move, to optimize their connections, but I would not expect to see a stationary device change that often.
Is the printer's wireless flaky because it sees multiple APs with the same SSID?
