My laserjet printer is broken and it's out of warranty. I checked with a technician and after some testing he determined that part TME 126 is broken. I've searched online for this part for countless hours and couldn't find anything. Can someone please point me to the right direction on where to find replacement parts for this printer series?

Thanks in advanced,

Hi@tornext,

Thanks for stopping by HP Support Forums.

I came across your post and would like to help.

Need assistance in finding the right replacement part for the printer. Is that, correct?

The part you need I not supplied by HP for any of the printers.

You may find it locally or I suggest you buy a new printer which is worth saving time for you.

Hope the solution answers your query. Feel free to reply back for more.

TME 126 is a TRIAC and a measurement of 52 Ohms between the outer legs is normal.

It is NOT a MosFet.

I have two of exact model and the "good" one was used to verify this.

To your "technician": It would've blown the main fuse if it were bad. Look at its location.

In my case, the actual FET driver for the power transformer didn't have continuity to the foil on the other side.

It was not obvious [not "cold solder"].

Touched up with solder, now working.

Cause: electrocuted GECKO on primary-side!!! entered from bottom of printer and even layed some eggs on motors' side...these things should go back on the ship to CHINA!!!  The printer can stay...also from China.
