I recently reported print defects to HP (regularly spaced blue and red dashes down the right side of a page) and after investigation HP determined that I have two defective toner cartridges.  These are the original cartridges supplied with the printer when purchased.  HP advised that I need to buy new cartridges, as the warranty is valid only if at least 70% of cartridge life remains.  I cannot find that disclaimer stated anywhere.

Have other folks encounted this issue and what was the resolution?  These are expensive items and I am very disappointed in HP at the moment.

Hi,

This is incorrect, the print cartridge is warrantied till it getting low, not nearly 70%:
