We have moved a printer from one shop to another and have tried to do a factory reset but it keeps on asking for a pin code. No code has been setup by us but we do have an admin password, we have tried those credentials but still no luck. It just keeps asking for a pin code which we cannot get round.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Do a NVRAM. See it in the HP LaserJet Pro M501 Troubleshooting Manual page 585.

I too am having the same issue. The previous admin did not document this password and I need to update the network settings, but to do so I need to login to the machine. Could you please send me the instructions to do a NVRAM reset on this LaserJet Pro 501 dn printer.
Thanks,
Kyle
