Actually... I meant the administrative password for the web server.

Somehow it seems, I cannot disable it to log into the firewall.

By default there is no password on the embedded web server.

That is peculiar, as I thought hard resetting it would completely reset the web password to default. Odd...

I followed this guide:

1. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

3. Remove USB cable, if present.

4. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

5. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

6. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

PS, if you want, you can mark solved, as the issue is different then I originally thought.

Athough: Authentication is Required to enter it, and I don't understand why given that I did a hard reset.

You need to do a cold reset.

Unfortunately I don't know the procedure of the top of my head.

Tag or message me on Monday and I'll look it up.
