I use WiFi to connect my printer to different windows pc's. I wish to also connect it to a Linux machine using a USB cable. The laser jet installation software asks me to select wifi or usb. Is there a way to get the printer to support both? I only need printing not fax or scanning. I also don't have a problem with conflicting data streams since I am the only one using the machines.

> Is there a way to get the printer to support both?
Yes. Rerun the installation and choose the other option. This will create a 2nd print queue on your PC that points to the new kind of hardware connection you selected for that run.
The printer doesnt care how the clients are connected to it. Choosing an option is more important for the PC so it knows how to configure its ports. If some are connected over WiFi and others are connected over USB then they will all be treated the same when its time to physically print a job.
