Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hello,

How could I install my old printer (functionning so well though!! 🙂  ) on my mac OS el Capitan?

It seems that there are no drivers I can download, and I confess I am quite blue on Mac 😞

Any help please?

Many Thanks!

Hi,

Your printer is not supported on any Mac computers and no drivers are available for a such:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-1020-printer-series/439423/model/439428/document/c0...

You may try below workaround and see if that may work for you:

  1. Power on the printer and connect it to your Mac.
  2. Install below drivers from Apple by clicking the blue Download button:
    https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US
  3. Click the Apple icon and then System Preferences.
  4. From Printers & Scanners click the plus sign and select the listed printer.
  5. Click the Use drop-down menu and then on Manually Select Printer Software.
  6. Locate and select the HP Laserjet 1022 model and press Add.

Now try printing using the newly added print queue and check if that may work.
