My cyan cartridge is very low. Magenta and yellow still have 10% ink left. Black cartridge is new. When I went to print something, I got a message, "Replace cyan or print only in black." I clicked "print only in black," thinking it would just apply to that document. Instead, now all documents print only in black. I would prefer to continue using the magenta and yellow. I cannot figure out how to undo the "print only in black." Any help would be appreciated.

The printer views this situation as Monochrome vs Color.
There are a few places to check to see if the printer is configured to print in monochrome (BWOnly):
1. The default Windows Print Queues: Navigate to Start > Search "Printers" > Select Printers & Scanners. Review the Printer Preferences for more details. There should be a color tab that will let you toggle Color on and off by default.
2. The default application settigns: This one depends on each app. Navigate to the Printer Dialog box for that app. Review the printer settings and check for options that modify color
3. Individual print job/document settings: Some applications save printer settings by document. You will have to review and correct the setting for that individual document if that is the case. I like to test this by printing from new blank test documents to see what the defaults are and work my way back from there.
4. Settings on the printers control panel. Some printers allow the admin users to configure monochrome for all users at the hardware level. You will have to search through your printers control panel options to see if you accidentally configured monochrome at this level. A reset to the defaults would correct this setting.
5. Settings in the Firmware. You are screwed. The printer is configured to print monochrome as long as your consumables are low. All you can do is swap your cartridges.
Good luck!
