hp color laserjet 2600n won't print

My printer installed ok, everthing checks out with scan doctor but all print jobs are stuck in the Q . I tried clearng the jobs , stopping and starting the spooler, hard re-booting ??? Not sure what else I can try to get this going ?? Please help !

How is the printer connected?

Laptop connected to printer via USB. It seems drivers are not properly installing on my O.S. ( WIN7,64bit ). Trying to install full solution and plug & play drivers from H.P.

Did you install the driver correctly. You are not supposed to connect the printer to the computer until the driver installation program tells you to. If you had the cable connected prior then that screws up the installation and it will not work. If that is what you had done, then you need to find the hp scrubber.exe program to remove all traces of the program, turn off the computer and disconnect the printer usb cable. Turn the computer back on, download the basic driver again and run the program and wait for it to ask to the usb cable to be connected.

I upgraded to Windows 10. I tried to install but unfortunately found out there are no new drivers for the hp2600n. Tried to find drivers on hp site and also windows update... no luck ! This is a solid printer when working. Any help finding drivers would be much apparently. Running Windows 10 pro 64 bit. USB port connection. Thanks .  UPDATE - OK so I have found a universal print driver -upd-pc16 x64 6.4.1.22169. This driver has enabled a USB plug and play function. All functions working now in windows 10 pro.
