I am getting a message that reads as follows:
There was a problem starting C:\users\USERNAME\local\temp\7zs01c7\hpslpsvc64.dll
Access is denied.
The user account associated with USERNAME in the path above no longer exists. I've tried to reinstall the HP drivers and software, but it still keeps coming up. This message comes up something like once per hour, and it is seriously annoying.
Any ideas how I can get rid of it? Less-technical language is also appreciated.
Rob

- What version of Windows are you using? Which Windows operating system am I running?
- How is the printer connected? Wireless or USB?
- Can you make copies with the printer?

Hi,
The printer is an Officejet 8500 Wireless to which I connect wirelessly. My operating system is Windows 7. I have absolutely no problem printing to the printer, receiving scans from the printer, or otherwise connecting to the printer - I just get the recurring error message.
Some more information: the username that is listed WAS the former primary user account on the laptop, but it was deleted (in full) via the Control Panel. So, the message IS accurate - that path no longer exists.

Hi roberbaran,
I'm glad everything is resolved for you! I was just wondering if I could I get you to unmark your post as the Accepted Solution, and mark my post as the solution, so that way others can find the solution faster? If you don't mind changing it please follow the steps below:
1. Go to the post you marked as the Accepted Solution.
2. To the right of the subject line you will see Options, click on Options.
3. Now scroll down to Not the Solution and click on Not the Solution.
4. Now you should be able to scroll to my post that resolved the issue and mark it as the Accepted Solution for our thread.
However, if you don't want to change it there are no hard feelings, and I hope you have a great day!
