Hey @mohbon,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you are having some issues with receiving faxes on your Laserjet M127fn Printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, this document outlines how to troubleshoot fax issues with your printer.

Please let me know if following the above allows you to receive faxes. If it does, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your help

In normal mode I receive fax without any problem , but when the printer goes to stand-by mode , it doesn't receive fax.

How can I set the printer no to go on stand-by mode

B.Regards

Hey,

Did you have a chance to double-check that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector? If the printer is connected to a surge protector or power bar then there is a chance that that device is preventing the printer from waking itself up to receive a fax.

Hi,

Thank you

I receive fax ,but when the printer goes to sleep (stand-by) it doesn't receive fax.

Is there a way to disable auto sleep?

HP Recommended

If the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector then you should be able to disable the sleep mode by accessing the printer's embedded web server. If the printer is connected to your network then you can do so by entering the printer's IP Address in your web browser's address bar. From there you should find the option under the Settings tab.

Please let me know if that helps with faxing.
