HP only provides drivers for your printer model up to Mac OS 9. You will need to leverage Apple resources for this one.
HP does offer some suggestions here (airprint?):
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-1012-printer/377934/document/c03785459/
Otherwise you can try downloading the software from your Apple Store

or apple updates:

I'm seeing the same issue in Mojave and later. It appears that the last version of macOS that supports this printer with Driver version 2.0.4 is macOS High Sierra (10.13.6). See my original post from last December.

@OscarGidas, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
HP LaserJet 1012 Printer is not supported with macOS 10.14 Mojave or 10.15 Catalina. Printer drivers for these versions of macOS are not available on the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
