I got this printer from my husbands company when they upgraded.  I dont know the administrative password.  How do I reset the printer to factory settings and reset the administrator password so I can use the printer at home.

What you are looking for is called a COLD Reset or an NVRAM Reset.  This process is unique to every printer model and is recorded in the Service Manual. Service Manuals are privilaged resources so you will have to contact HP or an HP Certified repair technician for those steps.
