HP M521DN
I have a hp 521 with approximately 121000 copies on it, printing and or coping the image is skewed on the paper. When you fill the paper tray to the top it will not pick up the paper (no paper pick up). If you take some paper out it will feed but it is skewed. If you put about an inch worth of paper in the tray all works fine. I have replaced the feed and sep as well as the paper tray. I have taken the paper path apart and looked for any obstructions. The skew takes place coming out of the tray if its full of paper. I can find nothing broken or missing. All rollers are turning freely. Please help.

The feed only from half full usually indicates a problem with the tray but you state that you changed that already. The skewing may be due to some obstruction between the tray and the registration assembly. Try flossing the paper path by inserting a folded piece of paper from the paper path up to the cartridge area to see if there are any obstructions.

I have tried several different trays. the paper is skewing coming out of the tray not after it exits the tray. if the tray is full it wont feed at all. most of the time. all trays tried exhibit the same symptoms. the less amount of paper in the tray the better it works when there is only about an inch of paper in the trays everything works fine. i'm leaning towards the paper feed assym for tray 2
