word 2013 no longer allows option to duplex print on print screen. Must click on printer properties. This change occurred midday last week. Does anyone know why?

Based on your description, it sounds like perhaps there was an update that changed the way Word behaves. I understand the duplex option is no longer available in the print dialog box and you now need to go to printer properties to select the two sided option. Is this an issue when printing from any other program or only from Word? If you find this very nettlesome, you could try a system restore back to a later date, but from the sounds of it, you do have the duplex option still so I'd probably recommend leaving it as is and simply getting used to the change.
