Hello!

We delivered a 9C428AW Teams conferencing PC, with an E70 cam and GC8 touch to a customer as an AV integrator company. The problem we got, is that they (the end customer) tried to add the machine to their Microsoft Azure, with a provisioning file. They managed to do it, but it deleted the default admin and created a new admin. And they don't have the password for it. So, is there any recovery image we can use to restore it to factory default?

Hello @MPeter122 ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

Our Support Team should be able to assist you but if you are stuck:

  • Download on a working PC the HP Cloud Recovery Tool
    https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/ish_4511095-4511141-16

  • Run this as an Administrator

  • Check the bottom of your HP Mini Conferencing PC for the Product No

  • Check the box and enter your Product ID in the field. It should verify that the product ID is found

  • Insert a newly formatted 32GB or larger USB Flash drive into your PC and select it from the menu

  • Once done Plug the USB drive into the HP Compute.
  • Connect a USB Keyboardand optionally a USB Mouse
  • Reboot the PC.
  • During startup, press F10 on the keyboard when you first see the HP Wolf Security logo until it says Entering Setup Menu... in the bottom left corner.
  • In the Setup menu, select Advanced and change the UEFI Boot Order so that the USB drive is at the top of the list.
  • On the Main tab, select Save Changes and Exit
  • When the PC reboots it will boot from the USB drive.
  • In the HP Recovery Manager, select Factory Reset, then click Next
  • Select Recover without backing up your files, then click Next
  • In the Recovery Manager popup, click OK
  • Wait while the Factory image recovery preparations steps are completed. This will take a few minutes
  • When the preparation is complete, click Continue to restart the computer.
  • Wait while the Software Installation process is completed.
  • This should take 20-30 minutes.
  • When the Software Installation finishes the PC will restart and begin Getting Ready
  • This should take 60-90 minutes.PC will restart several times
