Hi, when looking at the polycom x50 and x30 accessories I see there is a ceiling and desk microphone array. In one of my conference rooms I am already using the desk mic, but I have another x50 setup in a very large open area that will be used for "All hands" meetings with a lot of people.
Since the camera will be pretty far away from the speaker, I wanted to setup a secondary microphone for the speaker. Using a wired mic would not really work as the wires would be strung across the room and it would look terrible.
The x50 has an ethernet port on it to connect a secondary mic. Does anyone know if there are any products that I could use to connect a wireless mic or something similar to the x50 or does the x50 ONLY support the two mics sold by Polycom? Any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello @DA-IT ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
- The Poly Studio X30 does not have a port to use for a Microphone
- The Poly Studio X50 can connect a wired single microphone via the Microphone port. The cable coming with this microphone is set out for the recommended room size to use a Poly Studio X50. A discussion about a custom cable can be found >here<
- The Poly G7500 has 3x internal ports for IP based Microphones
- The Poly G7500 and the Poly Studio X0 or Studio X50 can use at least 1x Poly Trio 8500, 8800, or C60 as an additional Microphone
I would suggest to work with a Poly reseller for more details
