HDX CMA (Ceiling microphone array)

I want to connect a Polycom HDX ceiling microphone to my existing conferencing solution without having to install RealPresence. Is this possible?

The ceiling microphone has an array box with RJ45 ports on each side, along with the connecting port for the microphone. It is unpowered; guessing it's powered by CAT5/6 somehow. My initial thought was to connect it to a standard ethernet jack, and then run CAT6 to a digital-analog converter, and then 3.5mm into my webcam's audio input. What am I missing here? Should I return the microphone and converter?

TIA

Hello @yoshidan ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

There should be sufficient information on the Web >here< on how to wire compatible Polycom parts to an old, end of-sale, and end of service, Polycom HDX system.

These are all specific products and no other aftermarket parts will work or fit. Also, there is no Web Camera with a Polycom HDX system.

Other volunteers are welcome to comment.

Best Regards
