Hello all,
We are looking into adding a table microphone for our X30 as the internal one is quite bad (at least on our installation).
What are our options besides the Trio C60, 8500 and 8800? All of these are quite expensive.
The documentation is not that great into clarifying which of the Trio's work with the system. For example, is the Trio 8300 compatible with the X30?
Generally what are the options? Even if those are 3rd party.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello @Dasuni ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
You have the following options:
- Poly Studio expansion microphone for Studio/X50 2200-69631-001
or - Poly Trio 8500, Poly Trio 8800 or Poly Trio C60

Thanks for your reply.
Are you entirely sure that the expansion microphone can actually connect with the X30? I can't found a documentation from Poly suggesting this and looking from google everything suggests that it's not actually compatible with the X30.
How would they connect together? Via lan? I would connect the expansion microphone on the lan and it would be picked up from the admin console of the X30?
Kind regards,

Hello @Dasuni ,
Apologize, you are correct, the Studio X 30 does not have the ability for an external microphone via the expansion Microphones.
You can still pair it with a Poly Trio as explained before and details on limitations can be found in the Poly Video Mode Administrator Guide (HTML) >here<
(please note the name and check the support page in case the link does not work)
Please note the device is designed to be a huddle room device so you would not usually need external microphones due to the size of a huddle room.
