Feature Microsoft Whiteboard in MS-Teams conferences does not work anymore.

welcome to the HP Poly community.

First of all, PolyOS 4.3.1 is not a Microsoft-certified Software. Only the latest PolyOS 4.3.2 and the previous PolyOS 4.2.2 are.

Our partner Microsoft also released Microsoft Teams APK 1449/1.0.96.2024091202 so you should ensure the yet unidentified system is running these.

I am aware that other customers have reported a message:

• Unable to open a whiteboard from this device.
  Your device doesn't currently allow opening a whiteboard in a meeting. This feature is coming soon.

I suggest contacting our Partner Microsoft as it is their Teams platform and their application running on our devices.

Another customer shared a Microsoft reference TrackingID#2409120040014818, please only use this if you see the same error as above.

I had this error/issue pre 4.2

MS advised to run this: (and it worked for me).

admin settings via the touch panel of the room and enable the setting: "allow room to initiate whiteboard"

then run the powershell:

Set-SPOTenant -AllowAnonymousMeetingParticipantsToAccessWhiteboards On

Unable to open a whiteboard on Android touch displays and all-in-one devices.

On Teams Rooms for Android touch displays and all-in-one devices, you're unable to start a whiteboard session outside of a meeting by selecting the Whiteboard option. This issue occurs on devices that are running on tenants which are more than two years old.

To resolve this issue, contact Microsoft Support.
