Hi,

We  have bought HDX 7000  many years ago and I am trying to update the software. 

Current version is Release - 3.1.0.1 -31003

While I tried update to 3.1.14 ,it is asking for software update key and we don't know which key we have to provide for software update.

I thought 3.1.x update won't need update key.

What should I do?

  • Jun 22,2014 Question: How can I activate / check / verify / recover my license?

    Answer: 
    Please check this post in the Software Licensing section => here <=

    A text file with the name sw_keys.txt should be created. The format should be:

    U <Tabulator>Serial<Tabulator>Key

    An example is attached to this FAQ >here<

  • Jun 23,2014 Question: Am I entitled to a software upgrade?

    Answer: A Software update to the same Version number but a higher revision is usually free. A upgrade to the next version number (example 2.x to 3.x) requires the codec to be in warranty or a valid service contract.

 

As stated usually no Key is need but it seems in your case you found you may do. Please follow the above on how to get the key and/or work with the previous owner.

Thanks for reply.

I just used the serial number to search for the license , but nothing was found.

If I update 3.1.0.1 to 3.1.1, one by one, till the latest version , will it make any difference?

Today I update 3.1.0.1 to 3.1.1.3 first, then  update to 3.1.14 without update key.
