Hello everyone,
I have the following components in use:
Trio 8800
Version: 5.9.2.7727
Trio VisualPro Group 310
Versions: 6.2.2.1-600016
EagleEye 4
EagleEye Producer
I would like to connect this setup to GoToMeeting. Unfortunately, I can't find any documentation anywhere about what has to be set up where to make it possible to run the trio with GoToMeeting. Can you help me with that?
These are the only links I have found, but unfortunately there is no explanation anywhere about which parameters I have to set up the Trio:
https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/set-up-gotomeeting-for-inroom-link-g2m220050
https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/inroom-link-for-video-conference-rooms-and-systems-g2m220010
I've been working on the trio for the last few weeks, I know how to customize some things in the configuration file. I have gotten teams to run tests and also zoom, unfortunately I can't get anywhere with GoToMeeting. I have the required license for GoToMeeting.
It would be great if someone can help me with this 😉
Andreas

Hi @Andreas_RST,
well, everything is explained here:
Download the ZIP-file from this thread https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/Join-a-go-to-meeting-with-Polycom-Trio/m-p/104448#M... (H323_Line2.zip 1 KB)
and import it to your Trio. After this you´ll see a button on the Trio named "H.323", tap on it, enter the desired IP and the Trio should call that IP endpoint behind it. If you want to dial only one IP automatically, edit the cfg-file with the autohook stuff from Steffen few posts ago.

Hello @Andreas_RST
as far as I am aware we only support GoToMeeting using a Poly Trio as a USB Audio Device. More details can be found >here<

Hello @Andreas_RST
I am unable to comment as I have no involvement in the testing for features.
I am unaware if GoToMeeting tested our device and what configuration was used for this.
I suggest you work with their support team on this as we do not state support for this in our release notes to my knowledge.
Best Regards

Hi @Andreas_RST,
is your Trio ready to go for H.323? If yes, check requested firewall ports for GotoMeeting.
https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/set-up-video-conference-systems-g2m220062
After that I would set up GoToMeeting for InRoom Link, like it is decribed on their support page, so your meeting should be accessible via H.323.
https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/set-up-gotomeeting-for-inroom-link-g2m220050
Now I would configure a speed dial or autoOffHook on the Trio for used IP address of GoToMeeting (67.217.95.2) to get into the lobby. Type in Meeting ID and it should work.

Be aware, Trio Visual Pro is not officially supported for GoToMeeting, but I think it should still work:

I have the Polycom Group Series - not the Trio. But you can do this with the Group Series.
- You need the H323 license from GoTo - which you said you have
- The user account with the H323 license needs to be the one generating the meeting. It's more restrictive than the Zoom H323 model
- I would recommend using the PolyCom OneTouchDial service so that it would scrape the meeting URL for easier join.
- Again, I'm not a Trio user right now, but from what I've read, you'd need to put the Trio into a Hybrid mode so that it's not running in a native Teams or Zoom mode.
Hope this helps. We've pretty much settled on Teams for our platform. I'm trying to get single H323 connectors into other services to see if that helps us with outside invitations that don't use Teams. The problem in many situations is that the owner of the equipment needs to be the one generating the invitation. Zoom is the only one that works with an outside invitation from what I can tell. Even with Teams - the Polycom owner needs to generate the invitation for the VTC angle.

if your Trio is ready to run H.323, I would setup my firewall like it is requested by GoToMeeting, configure InRoom like described in the FAQs of GoToMeeting and use OTD by Poly as already explained.
If OTD does not work for you, I would create a speed dial on your Trio to get in the Lobby of GotToMeeting (67.217.95.2) and enter ID for the correct VMR.

Hi,
thank you very much for your feedback. Could you tell me how to set up a speed dial respectively I want to run the trio in hybrid mode. One line should go "normal" over our phone system using SIP (this already works, I have set several parameters, reg.limit, serveraddress...) and then it would be great if there was a 2 button with which I can dial into GoToMeeting. How do I have to define the 2 button so that it uses H323 and I can enter the IP address?
Best Regards
Andreas

Hello @Andreas_RST
this post would probably be better in the VoIP section.
For Hybrid Reg questions check >here< and H.323 >here<
You can use the offhook Parameter per line:
call.autoOffHook.2.contact="<Add Number or URL>"
call.autoOffHook.2.enabled="1"
Best regards
