G7500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an issue with my G7500 systems picking up HDMI input and sharing it by default, even when not in a call. This results in users entering a room, selecting 'Video Call' on the AMX control panel and seeing the PC desktop on the screens instead of the Poly/MS Teams interface. Some of these G7500 are on an AVoIP system which displays a default screen when the pc is asleep or off, this also gets shared automatically. The 'ignore HDMI session' option is greyed out in Teams mode, as is the 'enable HDMI autostart' option in the video inputs page.

Hello @CKRVC ,

Welcome back to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product or the Partner application version you use.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.

Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

We remind users in the FAQ or the Read 1st section, explaining why this is important.

In regards to the options greyed out do you use Poly Lens?

If an issue like this cannot be resolved via a public community post, and no other volunteers reply, please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature

Best regards

Hello @CKRVC ,

For Microsoft Teams the PolyOS should be 4.2.2 as our Partner Microsoft does not support any other PolyOS in case you have an issue (this is unless you have been told by HP Poly Support to upgrade)

The Microsoft Teams version should be upgraded to 1449/1.0.96.2024091202 or at least 1449/1.0.96.2024080804

Again, are you using Poly Lens for Provisioning?

I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region if no other volunteers reply. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

So I need to roll back the software version on the codec? How is this done? Can the Microsoft Teams software version be upgraded independent of the codec software version?

Hello @CKRVC ,

again you are not answering the questions asked. The device must have been updated to 4.3.x via yourself or any provisioning method as Microsoft TAC would not update to 4.3.x as this is not qualified.

Check how it was updated and downgraded using that method. The Microsoft Teams application will not be affected by this and should stay the version it is. Only a factory restore will also wipe the installed Partner application.

I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region, if no other volunteers reply. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

The answer to this was simple, there is a checkbox for it in Teams Management Centre.

Hello @CKRVC

thanks for following this up. Maybe posting a screenshot or explaining the steps taken would help others.

We still have no answer to the Poly Lens question.

Best regards
