Hi, 

 

I noticed today that poly update 4.6.1 has been paused, could someone let me know when this was announced please? Would be helpful going forward if this type of announcement could be included into the release notes as a comment or add on. Apologies if it already was though.

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

 

It would potentially help others if you would add a context into your message where you found this information and more importantly what the Provider is you are using.

 

Without this there is not an awful lot us volunteers can comment on.

 

HP Poly releases software versions which are usually compatible and/or certified for various service Providers like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google or Poly mode.

 

There is a current message in Poly Lens:

 

Poly Video OS 4.6.1: Service Alert

Analytics Issue: People count data is not reporting to Poly Lens when devices are idle. This affects all products running Poly VideoOS 4.6.1 (Teams, Zoom, and others).

Teams Rooms on Android Rollout Paused: Systems running Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android will not update to Poly VideoOS 4.6.1. When an updated build for Teams Rooms becomes available, we will provide update information.

 

If you are not using Microsoft Teams then this message should not bother you. If you are using Microsoft Teams, we are working with our Partner Microsoft on their certification of PolyOS 4.6.1 and once this is done we will share an update.

 

Due to the Christmas break and new year this will only happen in early 2026.

 

We cannot retrospectively update the release notes once we released a software so a tech alert is the only option.
