Hi,

I have E70 Cam connected to G7500 via USB using Team OS on Android. There is second Cam, Logitech scribe

Problem is when system refresh or certain amount of time, or in case needs to be powercycled, Always secondary cam took over the place as being a primary cam( room cam)

I know current version do not support the IP Cam on Android, So hard to expect the connection to be secure since its USB,

Is there a way we can reserve the camera as primary even though it refreshes, recognise as a room cam?

also noticed, the when second cam taking over the place, naming on team device, Front/0 should be e70 but irs second cam as it detected as first?

Any experience on above?

Thank you in advance.

Antoine

Hello @AntoineC ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application you use.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.

Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

From the latest 4.1.2 Release Notes:

Using the Poly G7500 or Poly Studio X all-in-one video bar in
Microsoft Teams mode
Note the following limitations when using Microsoft Teams with a Poly video conferencing system:
...
● The Poly G7500 solution is certified for use with one Poly Studio E70 camera.
...

Our Partner Microsoft released their Teams App supporting multiple cameras but HP Poly does not officially support this or has not done any testing.

From our point of view, your setup is an unsupported scenario and you would need to wait until HP Poly states that multiple

cameras in Microsoft Teams mode unsupported.

Via the medium of a support community, due to HP Poly being a US company, we cannot provide any ETA or a timeline for this.

Best regards

Hi AntonieC, I would blame the installer.  I do find it interesting that is holds ok with the X70, but not with the G7500 with an E70, as I thought the X70 was just an E70 camera unit anyway. 🙂
