Over the past few years, our organisation has made a significant investment in our meeting spaces with around 30 Poly Studio room devices, including the X30, X50, X52, and X70 models.

Unfortunately, we’ve recently learned that many of these devices are approaching their end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) stages. Even more concerning is that Microsoft Teams Room certification for these devices is also expiring.

This is particularly disappointing given that some of our recent devices were only purchased as recently as three years ago—well within what we expected to be a reasonable lifecycle for enterprise-grade hardware.

This situation presents a major challenge for us. These devices were a large financial investment,  Now, we find ourselves having to plan for a full replacement of our room systems much sooner than anticipated.

Adding to our concern is the lack of a clear product roadmap from HP/poly regarding future Teams-certified devices. Without visibility into what’s next, it’s difficult to make informed decisions about our next steps.

We hope HP and Microsoft will provide more clarity. In the meantime, unfortunately, we are having to actively explore alternative solutions with other vendors—ones that can offer the longevity, support, and product roadmap covering the next few years.

Could someone please provide any information on whether HP plans to support existing customers in our situation, and/or share details of products that will be supported for the next 10 years?

Hello @Paulin1235 ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

Our Partner Microsoft just updated their Android 10 devices until September 2026.

This is 2 years away. This is only a date that a Partner decides a device is no longer certified from their end and does not mean these devices are End of Life or End of Support from a HP Poly perspective.

I doubt any vendor will provide you with a 10 year assurance that a device is supported for 10 years.

As this is a peer to peer forum only I suggest you work with a HP Poly sales person and/or reseller.

Best Regards

It would be helpful to see the product lifecycle and roadmap for both existing and upcoming products. Long-term support for room systems is especially appealing to us, as we've been impacted—particularly with devices purchased within the last couple of years.

We've spoken to a reseller who is no longer recommending Poly Studio devices due to the issues we've experienced. I'm raising this blog post to gain further clarity and make more informed decisions moving forward.
