Codec AV Bar Controllers TC8

Hi,

I configure a Teams Rooms with the Poly Studio X30 and a Poly TC8.

My organization is manage by Intune.

Everything is working except the Poly TC8 which not associate with the Poly Studio X30 when this one is configure in Teams mode.

Is there any process to associate the TC8 when the X30 is configure in Teams mode (and manage by intune)?

Thanks so much for your interest, I can't find any solution to my problem.

Bastien

Hello @SIExploitation ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

We assume the Poly TC8 is also running PolyOS 4.1.0. We also assume the TC8 is paired at a PolyOS level but the TC8, once signed into Teams, cannot pair with the Studio X or G7500 via Teams or even sign into Teams.

Please be aware of this from our Partner Microsoft:

Title: Some users’ Microsoft Teams Rooms Android devices are continuously unpairing

User impact: Users’ Microsoft Teams Rooms Android devices are continuously unpairing.

More info: Affected devices won't pair again until they’re restarted.

Current status: Our collaborative validation with sample affected users has so far proven the fix's efficacy in resolving impact. While we're continuing to perform some supplemental validations, we tentatively anticipate that incremental deployment will begin by our next scheduled update. We'll further confirm this deployment timeline and will similarly aim to delineate a concrete estimated time to resolution as soon as one becomes available.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to utilize Microsoft Teams Rooms Android devices are impacted.

Root cause: An update to the Microsoft Teams code base responsible for maintaining Microsoft Teams Rooms device connections introduced a code regression that led to impact.

Could this be due to the Intune device registration limit? We encountered this problem due to the unpairing issue. The registration limit was eventually hit and needed to be increased Understand Intune and Azure AD device limit restrictions - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn

Hi Nlev, I'm wondering if you've found the root cause  yet and could share more details on it? Was there indeed some Intune limit hit following an excessive number of device registration attempts or could it have something to do with Intune issues for Android 11 based devices as the TC8 OS had been upgraded as from firmware 4.1 ( https://www.poly.com/content/dam/www/products/support/video/video-os/release-notes/video-os-rn-4-1-0...) ?

It seems a combination of the update and registration limit increase solved the problem for us. Hard to say the exact root cause, but it is stable now.

We just ran into the Intune Device Registration limit issue again. We have now increased the limit to the maximum possible value of 15. We had raised it to 8 when this happened before so I'm not sure this is a permanent fix or the issue will return when 15 is hit.
