We have a Poly x50 device that sounds a bit like its underwater to people on the other end of the call, i.e. the sound the Poly is sending to the meeting participants. I've fiddled around with some settings like toggling noise cancellation and whatnot, to no avail. This is not the same issue as low output volume issue that we were recommended to respond to by increasing the transmission audio gain. That was an issue we had with another Poly device, and on the device this post is concerning the fix results in a loud, overdriven audio signal without any increase in quality.
Wondering if anyone has encountered a similar issue or has any insight on how to troubleshoot. I've been moved into the sys admin position at a smallish company out of necessity, and I don't have a lot of experience diagnosing hardware issue of this kind, so apologies if my insight is a bit vague.

Hello @connermoulaison ,
Welcome to the HP community.
Unfortunately, Your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product or the Partner application, especially the exact version being used.
This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.
Please also provide details if any external Microphones are being used.
For Poly IP phones please provide if this is PVOS, UC Software, or ObiEdition. For current Video products ensure to include the Provider used.
We use Macros to reply so some questions asked may not be applicable but makes life easier fur us volunteers rather than typing the same question over and over again.
If an issue cannot be resolved via a public community post, please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature
Best regards
Steffen Baier
