Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has issues using the Powerpoint Live or Present to Teams option via Powerpoint when an MTRoA has joined a standard MS Teams meeting.  We have Poly X50/G7500 devices (all on current firmware) that will only show a black screen when the live option is used.  Standard desktop sharing isn't a problem, only when the Live option is used.

 

Is this a known issue I can't find much about?

Welcome to the HP community.

 

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the software version you currently use for the HP Poly product or the partner application version you use. In your example Microsoft Teams but what version?

 

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.

 

Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

 

We remind users in the FAQ or the Read 1st section, explaining why this is important.

 

For example, at the time of writing this would be PolyOS 4.2.2 and Microsoft Teams 1449/1.0.96.2024091202

 

The important question would be, did this ever work? The best organization to answer this would be our Partner Microsoft as they certified our Android devices, it is their software running on our devices and it is their platform you are using.

 

If an issue like this cannot be resolved via a public community post, and no other volunteers reply, please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature

Seeing varied results depending on the person presenting, possibly the powerpoint file size or complexity?  

 

So general question, has anyone else found this issue.  Even a No response would be nice.

PolyOS 4.3.1 is not certified by our Partner Microsoft so if you need any support on this you would need to downgrade to PolyOS 4.2.2

Happens with previous versions as well.  Version at the moment is not the issue.  Question is, is it a known issue?  Have other people experienced the issue?

ChrisAdc1, we are experiencing the same as you. We have the latest Poly FW updates and Teams version, partner ver, etc for our Poly devices. We use 7500 and xStudio as well. Apparently, PP live doesn't jive well with Poly systems.

I am not aware of any Poly related issues and our Partner Microsoft supplies the same application to other OEM vendors. I would suggest working with Microsoft as they have this on their Known Issue Page >here<

 

Unable to open a whiteboard on Android touch displays and all-in-one devices. On Teams Rooms for Android touch displays and all-in-one devices, you're unable to start a whiteboard session outside of a meeting by selecting the Whiteboard option.

This issue occurs on devices that are running on tenants which are more than two years old.
To resolve this issue, contact Microsoft Support.

I've raised it with MS and have done some sniffing on the network and they believe our gateway are still not providing the required open ports.  Still not totally convinced as it works some times and doesn't on other times, so continuing to work with our network and gateway team to try and get some stability with that option.
