misleading and time wasting I am waiting to see if with the two adaptors, camera and codec, the protocol is visible on the RS232 line. I don't see why protocols like this need to be hidden. will not be the first or last time a tech has to decipher the protocol, just to do a basic install. or we could spend $60,000 plus buying Sony cameras

Hello @GYZMO and @Mozez,

 

@GaryMiyakawa1 and in addition @Polycom_Video_E already answered that we cannot publicly provide details on these protocols as we do not have the distribution rights for this.

 

Companies like AMX, Crestron or SoundControl have licensed these from the camera manufacturer so they can work with the adapter.

Thank you Steffen I have now found the AMX modules. As integrators, this is the help we come here to this type of forum to get. Not to be told it can not be done. As a tech, we will find a way. Thank you for solving this so we can continue to sell you systems.
